Who do I contact for app support?

Support for apps and integrations is provided by the developer who created them. Check the App Market listing of the app in question to find contact details for the developer. DroneDeploy does not provide support for the functionality of 3rd party apps and integrations.

How do refunds work for paid apps?

Every app and integration on the DroneDeploy App Market is subjected to a rigorous, internal quality assurance assessment so we expect refund requests to be rare. Once you run a paid app, your account will not be charged immediately. This provides time for you to verify that the app delivered on what was advertised. In the event that an app does not provide you with what was advertised, contact the developer who created the integration. Check the App Market listing of the app to find contact details for the developer.

I pay my DroneDeploy subscription by invoice (not credit card). How will I be billed?

Organizations who pay DroneDeploy by invoice will be billed for app purchases periodically.

Within an organization account, can anyone buy apps?

Yes. All users on shared DroneDeploy organization accounts can purchase apps. The main payment method tied to the account will be charged for purchases.

Can I control who can make purchases on my Organization account?

At this time, organization admins cannot block users from making purchases on an organization’s account.

When am I billed for app purchases?

Individual and organization accounts are both billed at the end of the following month from the app run date. For example, if an app is run on November 4th, the client's account is billed on December 31st. Multiple app purchases will be aggregated and billed in bulk whenever possible.

How can I contact the app developer for support and feedback?

Support for apps and integrations is provided by the developer who created them. Check the App Market listing of the app in question to find contact details for the developer. DroneDeploy does not provide support for the functionality of 3rd party apps and integrations.

Will developers be able to see my data?

Different apps require access to different types of your data. Prior to adding an app to your account, you can see which access permissions the app uses. More information on permissions is below. For example, a simple weather app may only need information of the geographic location where you plan to execute a flight, so it will use that information to complete its task. However, an app which requires access to a geotagged orthomosaic or raw drone imagery to create a report will, of course, need to see that data in order to give you a final result. For inquires on terms of service and privacy policies of each app, please contact the developer of the app via the app’s listing in the App Market.

What permissions can developers use when making apps?

Developers can build apps which will be able to request the following access points from your account in order to function:

  • Exporter
  • Raw images
  • Flight plans
  • Flight logs
  • User info
  • Payments
  • Map tiles
  • Annotations

Before adding an app to your account, you will receive a notification of what permissions the app in question uses. You can then decide whether to add the app to your account or request more information form the developer.

Do developers own the data I send them?

Developers are obligated to provide you links to their terms of service and privacy policies. Contact developers directly, via the app’s listing in the App Market, to understand how they will be handling data that is sent to them via their app.

Can I use free apps on my free DroneDeploy account?

Yes. Free DroneDeploy users without paid accounts can add and run Free apps on their account. However, in order to use paid apps, you’ll have to have a paid DroneDeploy account.

Where are the apps that I added to my account?

Each app has its own designated place within the DroneDeploy user interface where it lives. Please read the app description to understand where the apps you add to your account will be placed. For example, some apps live only on the flight planning screen, others can live on the checklist, dashboard, data viewer, etc.

How do I add an app to my DroneDeploy account?

You can download apps to your account from any desktop/laptop computer. Click here to see a list of apps we offer! The app market can be found in the left panel of your DroneDeploy Dashboard.

How do I remove an app from my account?

In order to remove apps that you added to your account, go to your account settings page and in the "Installed Apps" section, click "View". Click here to go directly to your Installed Apps. From there, click the trashcan icon to remove the app from your account. You can always add an app back to your account.

How can I request new apps or features?

DroneDeploy app developers are extremely talented. We encourage you to contact developers directly to give feedback on app performance, suggestions for new features, or even ideas to build new apps that would be useful to your drone operations. You can contact developers by visiting their app’s listing in the App Market. You can also head to the official DroneDeploy Forum to view other’s app requests and even add our own.
