There are a few safeguards in place to help ensure that your project data is handled with care and remains accurate. If a project is not able to be upgraded to DroneDeploy, the Upgrade button will be grayed out like this:

Here are the reasons why you are unable to upgrade your StructionSite project to DroneDeploy:

  • Project data out of sync: The system has detected that there is data in StructionSite that has not yet been synced to DroneDeploy. Data is synced nightly, so a mismatch can occur if new data is uploaded or new users added to a project after the most recent sync. The solution is to wait for the next nightly sync and try again the next day.
  • Your organization does not own the project: A project can only be upgraded by a member of the organization that owns the project in DroneDeploy. If you are an admin for the project but it is owned by another organization, you'll be able to see the project in the "Upgrade StructionSite Projects" screen but the upgrade option will be grayed out. The solution is to contact the project owner and request that they upgrade the project in question.
  • The project has already been upgraded: If the project has already been upgraded to DroneDeploy, you'll see a message that says "Upgraded!" in place of the upgrade button. Navigate to Organization Projects to view and make changes.
  • Other There are a few edge case errors our team is working to resolve. For these errors, please reach out to support@dronedeploy.com for more information and timeline to Upgrade.
