When operations do not proceed as anticipated, the DJI Dock typically generates an error code, which is displayed alongside a description provided by DJI in the DroneDeploy portal. While most error codes offer sufficient information for troubleshooting, some may not clearly indicate how to resolve the issue. This page outlines the most common errors encountered by customers using the Dock and provides guidance for troubleshooting these problems.
321773 — aircraft battery level low and returned to home; unable to complete task
The Aircraft didn’t have enough battery left to complete the flight. The low battery threshold is computed dynamically based on the current aircraft states and position and cannot be configured. The Aircraft will usually return-to-home when the battery level falls below ~30%.
Make sure the Aircraft is correctly linked with the Dock and placed in the center of the landing pad, then wait for the Dock to charge the Aircraft battery to at least 75%.
322283 — RTH command sent by user; aircraft unable to complete task
The user triggered RTH either from the DroneDeploy portal or from the RC.
Nothing to do.
314013 — failed to distribute task; dock unable to obtain flight route file and perform task; try again later
The Dock could not download the flight plan file from DroneDeploy cloud storage. This can be caused by a network outage or fluctuating network, or another related issue.
Retry to fly again, and if the problem persists, check your network connectivity.
314007 — failed to distribute flight route file from dock to aircraft; restart dock and try again
The Aircraft will refuse to take off if it detects a bad connection with the RC.
If you intend to fly using the RC, make sure the RC is in range of the aircraft. In particular, make sure there's no obstruction between the RC and the Dock. If you intend to fly without using the RC (i.e. BVLOS flight), make sure to turn the RC off to avoid any disturbances.
514146 — dock in remote debugging mode; unable to perform task; exit debugging mode and try again
The Dock cannot start a flight task while in debug mode. The Dock temporarily switches to debug mode when triggering most non-flight actions manually (e.g. open covers, turn aircraft on). It is also possible to enter debug mode by plugging the RC into the Dock debug port.
Unplug the RC from the Dock, and contact DroneDeploy support to help you exit debug mode.
31500X — dock communication error; restart dock and try again
The Dock cannot communicate with the Aircraft. This usually happens when the Dock and Aircraft are on incompatible firmware versions. This can also happen if the Aircraft is not properly linked with the Dock and the RC.
Make sure the RC, the Dock, and the Aircraft are up-to-date
322550 — route execution failed, turn intercept is abnormal
The WPML flight plan file sent to the Dock does not match some geometric requirements.
Slightly move an element of the flight plan in DroneDeploy map view and try again.
321513 — unable to perform task; flight route altitude greater than aircraft max flight altitude
The WPML flight plan file sent to the Dock goes above the vertical distance limit currently configured on the Dock.
Turn the aircraft on and set the vertical distance limit to the value of your choice in Pilot 2, or contact DroneDeploy support to update remotely.
316034 — unable to take off; aircraft and dock firmware versions do not match; update firmware and try again
The Aircraft and Dock firmware are upgraded separately. Often, the Aircraft will get upgraded using the firmware, but this is not possible for the Dock, so the Dock’s version will be left behind, and after a while can become incompatible.
Make sure the RC, the Doc,k and the Aircraft are up-to-date
314200 — network disconnected; aircraft automatically returns
The aircraft cannot fly while offline. This is a safety behavior implemented by DJI and cannot be disabled. If the Dock loses connection to the network while the aircraft is flying, the aircraft will return-to-home immediately.
Check the network quality at the Dock
328XXX — unknown error: 328XXX
Error codes starting with 328XXX indicates there is an HMS alert.
Contact DroneDeploy support for deeper investigation.
