Overview
GeoTIFF uploading allows you to upload preprocessed orthomosaic maps to DroneDeploy. You can host, view, and share these maps within the platform. You can also use DroneDeploy tools, such as Plant Health and Annotations, with these maps. This guide provides instructions for uploading your existing GeoTIFF files.
How to upload pre-processed GeoTIFF maps
Follow these steps to upload your pre-processed GeoTIFF maps to your DroneDeploy project:
Choose Upload from the top of your map view.
In the left panel, choose Special Upload Types.
Choose Map or Model for your pre-processed GeoTIFF.
Select the TIFF file from your device to begin the upload.
Limitations and requirements
Review the following requirements and considerations before uploading GeoTIFF files:
Your GeoTIFF must be properly geo-tagged.
The file size is limited to 8 bit GeoTIFF files.
Single-band TIFFs are not supported.
You can only upload uncompressed GeoTIFF files; compressed (LZW) GeoTIFFs are not compatible.
Maps processed from GeoTIFFs do not include elevation data.
Due to the lack of elevation data, certain features like volume measurements, 3D modeling, and some export types are not available.

The ability to upload pre-processed GeoTIFFs is available to all paid DroneDeploy Aerial subscriptions.
