How To Upload C5 Photos To DroneDeploy

Overview

This guide explains how to upload handheld thermal photos from your FLIR C5 camera to your DroneDeploy project. 

Availability

This feature is available to users with access to a DroneDeploy project and is compatible with images captured from a FLIR C5 camera.

How to upload C5 photos

Follow these steps to upload your thermal images to your project:

1. Connect your FLIR C5 camera to your computer using the provided USB-C cable.
2. Log in to your account at dronedeploy.com and open your project.
3. Click Add Media to start adding images to the project.
   
4. Click New Upload.
   
5. Click Choose Files and select the thermal images from your computer.
   
6. The platform will notify you that it cannot geolocate the images from the C5 camera. Click Proceed Anyway to continue.
   
7. (Optional) Click the photo group name and rename it to be more relevant to your project.
8. Select the geo-marker icon to manually set the location of the photos. If you skip this step, the images will be placed in the center of the project.
   
9. Drag the geo-marker icon to the correct geographic location on the map.
   
10. Click Start Upload. After the upload, your thermal images are successfully added to the project.
