What is the DJI FlySafe Database?

The DJI FlySafe Database is a built-in resource referenced by your DJI drone and remote controller (RC) to determine flight safety in specific mission areas. This database includes geographic information regarding restricted zones and controlled airspace.

The DJI FlySafe Database ensures your drone operates within local airspace regulations.

How to update the DJI FlySafe Database Updating the database ensures you can launch your drone for missions planned in controlled airspace. Follow these steps to complete the update:

  1. Power on your drone and remote controller.

  2. Ensure the remote controller is connected to a wireless network.

  3. From the home screen of DJI Pilot 2, tap the Max Altitude / Geo Zone Map button.

  4. Tap the FlySafe Database button.

  5. Tap the Check for Updates button.

  6. Follow the prompts to install available updates. 

    * When all databases are current, the system displays the message: "Already Latest Version".

  7. Power cycle both the drone and the remote controller to apply the changes.
