Older DJI drones compatible with the Smart Controllers cannot run the DroneDeploy application.
Some exceptions DO EXIST, please see below:
DroneDeploy on Crystal Sky Devices
You can use DroneDeploy with these devices using the following simple hardware modifications. Unfortunately, the DJI Crystal SKY monitors do not directly support the necessary services to install and run the DroneDeploy app.
M210 / Inspire 2 with Cendance controller
If you have an M210 or Inspire 2 with the Cendence Controller and Crystal Sky monitor, you need to make a few modifications to use DroneDeploy. The Crystal Sky monitor doesn't allow the installation of third-party apps, such as DroneDeploy, for flight. To use DroneDeploy for flight, you can replace the Crystal Sky mounting bracket with a Mobile device holder from DJI (linked below). This not only allows you to mount your mobile device but also allows you to connect as normal via the USB socket.

Phantom 4 Pro Plus (& v2.0)
The Phantom 4 Pro Plus Smart Controller is incompatible with DroneDeploy. To use DroneDeploy for flight, you must purchase a standard controller with a mobile device mount. Once you've paired the new controller with your drone, you're ready to fly.
NOTE: You can only use one controller at a time to fly the P4P.

Controller for the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 (without monitor)
Mavic 2 Smart Controller
The Mavic 2 Smart Controller is not compatible with DroneDeploy. The integrated screen comes pre-installed with DJI Go 4 for the Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Pilot for the Mavic 2 Enterprise. You can use these apps for flights. To use DroneDeploy for flight, purchase a standard Mavic 2 controller with a mobile device mount. Once you've paired the new controller with your drone, you'll be ready to fly.
You will need: DJI Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom RC1A/RC1B Controller.
Note: DJI does not readily sell this controller and must be bought secondhand.
