How do I install the DroneDeploy app on the DJI RC Plus 2 controller?
1. On your DJI RC Plus 2 controller, type in this link in the RC's web browser: dronedeploy.com/flightapp. Tap the link 'Download 5.74.0' to download the DroneDeploy Flight app
3. Tap 'Download'
4. Wait for the app to complete the download
5. Tap 'Open'
6. Tap 'Install'
7. Tap 'Open'
8. Accept the DroneDeploy Flight app permissions
9. Log in to your DroneDeploy account.
How do I update my DroneDeploy app?
As long as your RC is connected to the internet when an update is available, you’ll see an in-app message “Update Available” with the option to update now. If you don’t see this message and your app is out-of-date, you can download the latest version on dronedeploy.com/flightapp.

Note: The DroneDeploy Flight app does not currently support the Onboard Smart 3D Capture, 5-Directional Oblique Capture and Laser Range Finder features on the M4E/T because DJI does not support them in the SDK for third-party development.
Do I have to use the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise Controller to fly the Matrice 4E/T?
To fly with DroneDeploy, you must use the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise Controller with the Matrice 4E/4T.
Does DroneDeploy support RTK capture?

Does the Matrice 4E have a mechanical shutter?
Yes. However, the Matrice 4T does not.
Do you know where I can buy a Matrice 4 Enterprise series drone?

How can I connect my RC Plus 2 Controller to the internet?
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network or tethering to your mobile device's hotspot.
Should Dewarping be turned off when mapping with DroneDeploy?
Yes, we recommend turning off dewarping in the Pilot 2 app when mapping with DroneDeploy, as this is the optimal setting for photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction.
Is it expected that the Matrice 4E flies much faster than other drones?
Yes, as the Matrice 4E has a shooting interval of 0.5 seconds, it can capture images much faster than other drones while maintaining the same (and even higher) quality of images thanks to its mechanical shutter. It is expected to see the M4E fly at speeds up to 47mph (depending on your map size and altitude).
Can I turn on the beacon light when flying with DroneDeploy?
You can turn the beacon on in the DroneDeploy app before or during the flight. To do so, tap the gear icon in the upper right corner of the app and toggle on the 'Beacon' (see screenshot below).

Best Practices
- Force stop the DJI Pilot 2 app before starting DroneDeploy. To force stop DJI Pilot 2, go to the device Settings > Apps & notifications > DJI Pilot 2 > Force Stop.
- Please make sure all of your drone's firmware is up to date.
- Please ensure you have the latest DroneDeploy app version.
- You can connect your RC Plus 2 controller to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot.
- If you need help, please feel free to contact support via in-app chat on your mobile device.
- To have the DroneDeploy app automatically open each time you power up the controller, go to 'Settings> 'Apps & Notifications> 'Auto start application selection'> DroneDeploy
- Offline mapping missions are available for the M4E. Before flying, save your map plan to your mobile device.
- You can allow location by going to Settings> Apps & Notifications> DroneDeploy > Permissions> Allow location.
- Login help: For single sign-on users, your login profile must be consistent across the controller. If you're having trouble logging in with SSO, you can try your SSO login using the browser on the device first, then try again using the DroneDeploy app.
