As of July 2024, GCPs may now be saved in Project Settings streamlining the process of uploading new GCP maps! This saves time in managing csv files and allows other users to upload new map image sets even if they don’t possess the GCP file, and that map to be processed with GCPs.

FAQ:

  • All existing GCP csv templates are supported, including Custom Grids. Project-level GCP file must match Project-CRS.
  • Only 1 GCP csv may be saved to a project.
  • User may upload a plan with different GCPs on a project utilizing Project-level GCPs in Smart Uploader (this will not change or modify the saved Project-level GCPs)
  • GCPs will be automatically included/excluded based on the total image set capture area.
  • Project-level GCP file may be replaced without affecting previous maps.
  • GCPs contained in Project-level GCP csv file may still be skipped in GCP AI review (useful if a GCP is damaged or no longer present).
  • Users are still required to confirm GCP AI tags as usual.

How to use:

  1. Navigate to Project Settings
  2. Near the Project-CRS, select Add GCP file
  3. Choose CSV File
  4. Confirm your GCP count and location on the map, select Add Project GCPs
  5. Upload new map data sets in Smart Uploader as usual. How to guide here!
