Overview
As of July 2024, Ground Control Points (GCPs) can be saved in Project Settings to streamline the process of uploading new GCP maps. This saves time in managing CSV files and allows other users to upload new map image sets and process them with GCPs, even if they do not possess the original GCP file.
Availability: Who has access?
This feature is available for Advanced, Teams, and Enterprise accounts.
How to use Project Level GCPs
Navigate to Project Settings (gear icon, top right).
Near the Project-CRS, select Add GCP file.
Choose your CSV File.
Confirm your GCP count and location on the map, then select Add Project GCPs.
Upload new map data sets in Smart Uploader as usual.
Key Features
Automatic Matching: GCPs are automatically included or excluded based on the total image set capture area.
Flexible Updates: The Project Level GCP file can be replaced at any time without affecting previously processed maps.
Smart Uploader Compatibility: You can still upload a plan with different GCPs in Smart Uploader; this will not modify the saved Project Level GCPs.
Manual Control: Points contained in the saved file can still be skipped during the GCP AI review if a target is damaged or missing.
Limitations
One File Limit: Only 1 GCP CSV file can be saved to a project at a time.
CRS Alignment: The Project Level GCP file must match the Project-CRS.
Confirmation Required: Users must still confirm GCP AI tags for every upload to ensure precision.

Q: What templates are supported?
A: All existing GCP CSV templates are supported, including Custom Grids.
Q: Does replacing the file affect old maps?
A: No, replacing the file only affects future uploads and does not change previous maps.
Q: Can I still skip points if a marker is moved?
A: Yes, you can skip points during the GCP AI review process as needed.
