  • Perfect for Large-Scale Mapping: This feature is ideal for projects covering areas greater than 100 acres.

When and why to use this tool?

This feature is perfect for customers who need to map large properties, such as:

  • Data Centers

  • Solar Farms

  • Large Agricultural Areas

  • Industrial Sites

  • Other large-scale projects

DroneDeploy is the only platform that supports multi-battery flights with the DJI Dock.

How to use Multi-Battery Flight

The platform automatically manages the multiple-battery workflow during a flight plan that exceeds the drone's single-battery range:

  1. The flight mission begins as planned in DroneDeploy.

  2. The drone returns to the dock when the battery reaches a low level.

  3. The battery is charged inside the Dock.

  4. The pilot clicks Continue Mission in the DroneDeploy interface once the battery is charged to 90%. The drone then automatically resumes the flight plan from the point where it left off.

  5. Data is uploaded and processed into a single map when the entire mission is complete.

Limitations

  • A pilot needs to manually click Continue Mission to resume the flight once the battery is charged.

  • Mission Chaining is not supported with this feature.
