This guide provides troubleshooting information and answers to frequently asked questions for the DJI M300 drone.

Supported Payloads

  • DroneDeploy supports the H20 and H20T payloads on iOS.
  • The DroneDeploy Flight app on the DJI RC Plus controller is compatible with the M300 when using the P1 camera.
  • XT2, Z30, and L1 payloads are not supported.

DroneDeploy Flight App Installation and Updates

How to install the DroneDeploy Flight app on a DJI RC Pro Enterprise or DJI RC Plus controller

  1. Open the web browser on your DJI RC Pro Enterprise or DJI RC Plus controller.
  2. Navigate to dronedeploy.com/flightapp
  3. Tap the Download link to download the DroneDeploy Flight app.
  4. After the download is complete, tap Open.
  5. Tap Install.
  6. Tap Open.
  7. Accept the DroneDeploy Flight app permissions.
  8. Log in to your DroneDeploy account.

How to update the DroneDeploy Flight app

When your RC controller is connected to the internet and an update is available, you will see an in-app message, “Update Available,” with an option to update. If you do not see this message, you can download the latest version at dronedeploy.com/flightapp. We host and update the DroneDeploy Flight app directly, so updates are no longer released to the Amazon App Store.

How to connect the M300 Smart Controller Enterprise with DroneDeploy

  1. Power on your DJI Smart Controller Enterprise.
  2. Power on your M300 drone.
  3. Connect the Smart Controller to your iPhone or iPad with a USB cable.
  4. Open the DroneDeploy app to begin planning your mission.

Using RTK with DroneDeploy

The DroneDeploy Flight app does not support RTK technology for flight planning. To use RTK functionality, you must fly with the DJI Pilot 2 app. You can still upload and process the data in DroneDeploy.

Q: Which cameras and payloads are supported for M300 flights with DroneDeploy?

Q: Is the M300 supported on Android? 
A: This drone is supported on the operating system of the DJI RC Plus controller.

A: All DroneDeploy plans are supported.

Q: Are flight logs stored? 
A: Yes, we record and save flight logs from M300 flights.

Q: Does this drone support Live Map? 
A: Yes, Live Map is supported.

Q: Why did I receive a "Camera Focus Failed" error? 
A: Open the DJI Pilot 2 app and ensure your focus mode is set to "Auto." Force-close the DJI app and reopen DroneDeploy to proceed with your flight.
