Recommended Devices for DroneDeploy Mapping
If you are looking for the best experience, performance, and security, we recommend you run DroneDeploy using the following device families:
- Apple iPhone 12 or newer
- Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer
- RC Pro Enterprise controller for the Mavic 3 Enterprise Series
- RC Plus Enterprise controller for the Matrice 300 & 350
- Anzu Raptor Standard controller
Note: Please check out our Stand Count and Live Map-specific guidance if you want the list of Supported and Recommended devices to use when flying Stand Count or Live Map missions. This functionality has more stringent hardware requirements due to the nature of these capture types.

DroneDeploy offers official support for the following iOS and Android devices.
iOS Devices
The recommended operating system is iOS 14+ (iOS 13 minimum required) and 1GB of free disk space. For the best experience, we recommend using the Apple-brand cable.

- iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max

Android Devices
Over 1,000 Android device types are used by DroneDeploy customers worldwide. Unfortunately, we cannot test them all. We officially test releases on the following prioritized hardware:
Required: Android 10+
- Samsung Galaxy A12 or newer
- Samsung Galaxy Tablet S7 or newer
- Google Pixel 5 or newer
DroneDeploy only supports 64-bit Android and iOS devices.
