Installing the DroneDeploy Flight App

Customers who want to fly with DroneDeploy on the Anzu Raptor first need the Aloft Air Control App, version v3.1.6.304 or higher, to install the DroneDeploy app.

  • Manually download the latest firmware to the controller. In the controller browser, search for aloft.ai/download and then select the green “Download for Anzu Raptor” button.

Limitations

  • The Anzu Raptor has a mechanical shutter, but the Anzu Raptor T does not.
  • DroneDeploy features are limited on the Anzu Raptor. The following features are not supported:
    Live streaming
    Compass calibration
    Zoom
    Manual panoramas

Best Practices

  • The DroneDeploy app automatically checks for updates each time you open it. If an update is available, a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to update your app. You have the option to update now or be reminded later.
  • To ensure you have the latest DroneDeploy app version, go to dronedeploy.com/flightapp and check for an update. You can connect your controller to a Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot.
  • You can allow location access by visiting Location settings > Apps & Notifications > DroneDeploy > Permissions > Allow Location.
  • For single sign-ins, the login profile must be consistent across the controller. If you are having trouble logging in with SSO, you can log in to your SSO account using the browser on the device first, then try again using the DroneDeploy app.
