The Media Viewer provides a way to explore your project’s media and drawings offline. By opening the HTML file in your browser, you can navigate different levels, view associated media and filter content by date range.

Availability

The Media Viewer is available for users who have exported their project data for offline viewing.

How to use the media viewer

Follow these steps to effectively navigate your exported project media.

  1. Open the index.html file in your preferred web browser.

  2. Click Select Level located in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Choose the desired level from the dropdown menu.

  4. View the media associated with that level or apply filters as needed.

Key Features

  • Offline Access: View linked media and drawings without an active internet connection.

  • Level Navigation: Switch between different floor plans or site levels using the dropdown menu.

  • Date Filtering: Filter visible media to focus on specific time periods within your exported date range.

Limitations

  • The Media Viewer only displays content included in the original export.

  • Functionality is limited to the local browser environment and does not sync back to the live DroneDeploy project.

Q: Which browser should I use to open the Media Viewer? A: You can use any modern web browser, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, to open the HTML file.

Q: Can I see new media I just uploaded in the offline viewer? A: No. The Media Viewer only contains the data present at the time the export was created.
