Standard troubleshooting

If your camera is visible in the Nearby Cameras list but fails to link, follow these steps:

  1. Restart the camera.

  2. Navigate to your mobile device Settings.

  3. Ensure Local Network and Bluetooth permissions are toggled on for the DroneDeploy app.

  4. Open the DroneDeploy app and tap Attempt Reconnect.

Manual connection troubleshooting

If Bluetooth discovery is unavailable or the saved Camera List fails, enter the credentials manually:

  1. Identify the SSID (network name) and Password for your camera.

  2. Select the manual connection option in the app.

  3. Enter the camera credentials to establish a direct Wi-Fi link.

Advanced troubleshooting

Follow these steps if standard and manual attempts fail due to device security protocols:

  1. Log out of the DroneDeploy app and hard close the application.

  2. Restart your mobile phone.

  3. Open the app and log back in.

  4. Disconnect other devices from the camera, as multiple active connections can prevent a successful link.

Key Features

  • Nearby Cameras: Lists all detectable Bluetooth-enabled cameras in your immediate vicinity.

  • Camera List: Stores previously connected hardware for faster access in future sessions.

FAQs

Q: Why is my camera not appearing in the Nearby Cameras list? A: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the camera and your mobile device, and that the camera is not currently paired with another phone.

Q: Do I need Local Network permissions? A: Yes. iOS requires Local Network access for the app to communicate with the camera hardware over Wi-Fi.

Q: Can I connect to multiple cameras at once? A: No. Only one camera should be connected to the mobile device to ensure stable data transfer during a walk.
