Overview

DroneDeploy automatically captures detailed flight logs for all automated dock missions. These logs provide a comprehensive record of your drone's operations and are essential for compliance, troubleshooting, and reviewing mission performance.

Availability

Dock flight logs are available for all customers with an active Dock Automation subscription. This subscription automatically generates and stores flight logs in DroneDeploy.

What is in a flight log?

The Flight Log viewer provides a complete playback of the mission, synchronized with flight telemetry data. This includes:

  • A map view showing the drone's exact flight path.
  • Telemetry data such as altitude, speed, battery levels, and GPS status.
  • A chronological list of all commands and automated actions taken by the drone and dock during the mission.

How to view flight logs

You can access flight logs for any completed dock mission directly from your DroneDeploy project on your dashboard.

  1. Navigate to the main menu on the left and select Flight logs
  2. A list of all recent flights will appear in date order. Select the correct flight, you can see the date, pilot, project, and plan.
  3. Select to view details, download or view on the Flight Log Viewer to see the breakdown of the mission
