Safety AI is designed to help teams proactively identify and manage risks on-site. By granting access to specific users, project admins can ensure that the right stakeholders have the visibility they need to maintain a safe working environment. This article covers how to enable these permissions within your DroneDeploy project settings.
Note: this feature is only accessible to the project owner and any project coordinators. Organization owners must add themselves as coordinators at the project-level to gain access to Safety AI. If you do not have the requisite permissions, you will not be able to manage access to Safety AI for your project.
How to enable Safety AI access
- Open your project in DroneDeploy. Navigate to the project where you want to manage safety permissions.
- Navigate to the project settings. Click the Settings tab (the gear icon) in the side panel.
- Access the Safety AI section. Scroll down to the Safety AI section within the settings menu. Click the Manage button adjacent to the title.
- A pop-up will appear that will allow you to manage which users have access to Safety AI on this project. Provisioning access in this modal unlocks two key features:
- The user will be able to interact with field notes created by Safety AI in the DroneDeploy web app.
- The user will be added to the email distribution list and will receive future Safety AI reports.
- It is important to note that you can only provide Safety AI access to users who have already been added to the project. To add new users, please reference Data Sharing under "Add a teammate to a project."
- Click the checkboxes for the relevant users
- Click the dropdown menu again to collapse the list of users. Any users you select will be added to a list of team members who have Safety AI access.
- Click the “Save” button to return to your project.
If you do not see this option, please contact your Customer Success Manager or reach out to support@dronedeploy.com.
