Creating a new project in the web app

This guide explains how to create a new project in DroneDeploy.

Create a project manually

To create a new project, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your dashboard and select New Project in the top right corner.

2. Enter the address or GPS coordinates of your project's location.

3. Click Next to confirm the location.

4. Enter your Project Name and select your preferred coordinate system. You can update this later if needed.

5. Click Create Project.

From here, you're ready to capture! You can choose to get started with Aerial or Ground data. Alternatively, you can choose to go to project in the bottom right corner.

Expedite project creation

You can also expedite project creation in two ways:

• Use your current location: Enable location services in your browser to use your current location. This is recommended only when you are physically at the project site.

• Upload drone data: Skip the manual project creation steps by uploading your drone data directly. We'll use the image metadata to automatically determine the project location.
